Greg Tyson, Vice President of Gabel Associates, has over 25 years of experience in energy modeling, forecasting, and market analysis. He supports clients across wholesale and retail power markets, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicles (EVs), and traditional generation projects. Mr. Tyson conducts advanced energy price forecasting, long-term tariff modeling, and economic and financial analyses, including internal rate of return calculations, payback forecasting, cost/benefit analysis, and sensitivity studies. He leverages these skills to quantify the full value proposition of energy projects and develop actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

Mr. Tyson is proficient in modeling platforms such as AURORAxmp and EnCompass, enabling sophisticated scenario analysis and long-range market forecasts across all U.S. regions. He provides expert guidance on renewable energy markets, including SREC and REC price forecasting, offshore wind and solar policy, and market compliance strategies. He also supports clients navigating utility and RTO issues, including PJM interconnection processes, and conducts ongoing analysis of EV impacts on grid operations, wholesale and capacity prices, and environmental outcomes. Additionally, Mr. Tyson advises on environmental regulations, such as carbon and NOx cap-and-trade programs and the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), assessing their financial and operational impacts on power generators. Prior to joining Gabel Associates, he held a Senior Consultant role at Ventyx, where he conducted long-term electric price and emissions forecasts, scenario analyses, and generation market assessments for North American markets.

Travis Stewart, Vice President, has over 12 years of experience in energy, utility, and policy–related issues.  He provides assistance with thermal and renewable generation, load positions, energy storage resources, and to transmission developers on RTO operations, procedures, and markets. He has worked extensively with RTOs across the country—including MISO, SPP, PJM, NYISO, and ISO-NE—and serves as the firm’s lead representative in MISO and SPP, where he actively participates in committees and working groups on capacity markets, demand response, storage, ancillary services, and reliability. He also maintains a strong presence at PJM and regularly engages with MISO staff as the Independent Power Producer Sector Representative on the Advisory Committee, while also serving as Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.

Mr. Stewart has supported numerous high-level filings and regulatory proceedings before FERC and RTOs on grid reliability, market reforms, resilience pricing, and compliance matters. His expertise spans market analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory policy, enabling clients to navigate challenges in energy and capacity markets. Prior to joining Gabel Associates, he worked in the Office of Chief Counsel at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, advising senior leadership and the Governor’s Office on ratemaking, solar markets, tax treatment of utilities, and regulatory security issues. This combined experience gives him a deep understanding of both state and federal regulatory landscapes, which he leverages to advance client objectives in the wholesale power sector.

Loren Altshuler Vice President, Energy Aggregation & Procurement

Loren Altshuler, Vice President, brings over 32 years of experience in the energy industry, ensuring that aggregated customer groups and individual clients secure competitive energy supply while receiving high-quality customer service. She has held operational and financial roles across multiple energy companies, including divisions of international retail energy suppliers, oil and gas companies, and energy brokerages. Her expertise spans energy contracting and pricing, contract and tariff interpretation, customer onboarding and enrollment, supplier and utility relationships, savings assessments, and energy choice billing issue resolution. Ms. Altshuler also supports community solar programs and leverages extensive analyses of customer savings, utility tariffs, and market data to inform client strategies.

Ms. Altshuler is a respected energy expert with a strong analytical, operational, and financial background. She has led teams and projects in retail energy contract administration, invoicing and collections, planning and budgeting, process improvement, and IT and project management initiatives. Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and trained in Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean methodologies, she applies process improvement, lean thinking, and performance metrics to daily operations. Beginning her career in electric and gas utilities with experience in power plant engineering and environmental permitting, Ms. Altshuler combines deep energy industry knowledge with operational and financial expertise to guide clients through complex retail energy choice projects.

Gabriella Hudis, Vice President, has more than 14 years of experience in energy markets, with deep expertise in natural gas supply, utility operations, and wholesale power markets across both regulated and unregulated spaces. She supports clients through all phases of project development, including market entry strategy, interconnection application support, regulatory navigation, and capacity and energy market participation. Ms. Hudis is well-versed in RTO operations, particularly PJM and ERCOT, and monitors committees, working groups, and policy developments to assess impacts on markets and business objectives. She also provides analysis and strategic guidance for renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and battery storage projects, helping clients optimize market participation and interconnection opportunities.

Prior to joining Gabel Associates, Ms. Hudis worked as an analyst for New Jersey Natural Gas, focusing on supply optimization, trading strategies, and scheduling for utility and merchant generation positions. She managed basis risk, structured hedge positions, and interfaced with generation assets to optimize fuel contracts relative to energy market dispatch. Ms. Hudis also supports clients in FERC and state commission matters, preparing comments and analyzing regulatory decisions that affect energy policy in PJM, MISO, and ERCOT markets. Her combined experience in project development, market operations, and natural gas and power analytics allows her to guide clients in navigating complex energy market structures and regulatory frameworks effectively.

Rebecca Stadelmeyer, Vice President of Wholesale Power and Market Services, brings more than 24 years of experience in energy, wholesale markets, and policy-related issues. She provides strategic advice on regional transmission organization (RTO) operations, supports wholesale energy market transactions, and actively monitors PJM activities to assess potential impacts on markets and client objectives. Ms. Stadelmeyer is a recognized subject matter expert in PJM markets, including the generation transfer and membership processes, Market Settlement Reporting System (MSRS), Transmission Owner rates, and key operational issues such as Capacity Performance and Reserve Price Formation.

Prior to joining Gabel Associates, Ms. Stadelmeyer held leadership and technical roles at PJM Interconnection, including Manager of Market Settlement Development, Manager of Client Management, and Senior Consultant, overseeing billing system operations and streamlining complex client requests. She contributed to major market rule changes, including Capacity Performance, 5-minute Settlement, and CP Ramp Rate, and facilitated Market Settlement Subcommittee and member interactions. She also held regulatory roles at Exelon Generation, advocating for competitive market rule changes within PJM. Ms. Stadelmeyer’s extensive experience in market operations, regulatory policy, and client advocacy allows her to provide clients with actionable guidance on navigating complex wholesale power markets.
