GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
To support Clayton Companies in the development and operation of a wide range of solar projects that provide maximum energy benefits and revenues.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Since 2008, Gabel Associates has provided energy consulting services to Clayton Companies (Clayton), the largest ready-mix concrete supplier in New Jersey.
Gabel Associates assisted Clayton Companies with the development of a two-phase roof-mounted solar system that totals almost 800 kW and serves one of Clayton’s manufacturing facilities. As part of the project, Gabel Associates provided financial analysis, vendor selection, and contract review and negotiation services. We also support related solar renewable energy certificate (SREC) marketing and sales activities and manage participation in the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS).
Gabel Associates also assisted Clayton with the development of a 2.5 MW ground-mounted array. This project serves load contiguous to Clayton’s property, with Clayton acting as the PPA provider. Gabel Associates supported all project activities, including economic evaluations, selection of an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, project facilitation services during project implementation, and SREC sales. The firm also helped Clayton secure a long term SREC contract to support project financing and returns.
The firm continues to support Clayton with other energy initiatives including the assessment of additional solar projects.
