CLIENT:
New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO), and the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA)
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
To help school districts throughout New Jersey reduce electricity and natural gas costs through the management of a large scale energy purchasing consortium
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Gabel Associates has successfully served as the lead Consultant/Administrator for the Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (ACES) program since its inception in 1999. The firm manages and oversees all aspects of the program, which competitively procures electric and natural gas supply on behalf of school districts in New Jersey. Through our long standing guidance, the program has resulted in over $250 million in energy savings for over 400 districts and close to 6,000 accounts throughout New Jersey.
ACES is the largest energy aggregation program in New Jersey, leveraging unmatched experience and unrivaled buying power and service. Gabel Associates has incorporated a highly competitive procurement process and risk management tools to maximize the benefits of purchasing as a large and cohesive group, delivering those benefits to New Jersey’s public schools.
Through years of experience, Gabel Associates has demonstrated its ability to effectively manage the program, addressing marketplace volatility and providing highly responsive customer service.
Gabel Associates has also helped to introduce new offerings into the program to increase sustainability, including the incorporation of a voluntary enhanced renewable energy product. This product has helped districts to meet their Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification goals.
The ACES program is sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO), and the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA).
