Renewable energy generation, long renowned for its environmental benefits, is rapidly becoming an imperative as it presents increasing opportunities for cost-savings and additional revenue generation through incentives and environmental markets. Gabel Associates helps its clients take advantage of those opportunities by supporting renewable project development for a wide range of technologies. We serve all scales of renewable project development.
Due to the firm's high level of activity in project development, coupled with its participation in policy development at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the State Legislature, Gabel Associates brings special expertise to the development of renewable projects.
Our many solar generation projects include a 2 MW roof system at the Atlantic City Convention Center, a 1.3 MW ground system at Rutgers University, and county-wide solar projects in Morris and Somerset Counties. We support the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission's solar project development, and have assisted businesses, counties, municipalities and school districts through their own unique solar development initiatives. Gabel Associates secures outside grant funding, provides economic, financial and technical analysis, designs Requests for Proposals and evaluates responses, negotiates power sales contracts, sells SRECs and provides project oversight services.
We are helping Fishermen's Energy develop their state and federal waters offshore wind projects.
The firm also helped the Atlantic City Convention Center and the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority with feasibility studies and economic analysis surrounding wind generation projects.
We have also advised a number of clients through the development of landfill gas-to-energy projects, including Magellan Resources, Montauk Energy Capital, Beacon Generating, Burlington County, the Ocean County Landfill, and utilities authorities in Atlantic County, Cape May County, Middlesex County, Salem County and Sussex County.

For renewable project development, our services include initial feasibility studies and expert economic and financial analysis, including energy market forecasting, which helps our clients anticipate probable returns on their project investment. We draft and publicize Requests for Proposals for project design, installation or financing and evaluate proposals and bids before making recommendations to our clients. We negotiate Power Purchase Agreements to sell the energy produced by the new generation facility, and we market and sell the renewable energy certificates generated by the project, providing our clients with an additional source of revenue. We also conduct thorough project oversight of generation system installation to ensure timely and efficient installation.
Gabel Associates finds all applicable federal, state, and utility grants and incentives for renewable generation projects, helping our clients take advantage of all opportunities to reduce their project costs and recover their investment as quickly as possible. We secured $4.8 million to support Rutgers University's campus solar project, $1.5 million for Ocean County's landfill gas project, and $4.7 million for Burlington County's landfill gas project.
